Warm greetings from NOGVA shipyard in Ålesund, where Pachamama is receiving the loving care she needs after our Arctic adventure.

A Humbling Reminder
When our engine failed near Björnøya – Svalbard and we drifted toward those imposing cliffs, the sea reminded us once again of her power and the importance of being properly prepared. While we’re grateful to have navigated that moment safely, it means we won’t make it to Hamburg for the boat show and “Home is the Ocean” film premiere by boat as planned. But we try our best that some of us at least show up.

Gratitude and Honest Needs
We’re deeply thankful for the generous support from NOGVA and GS Marine here in Ålesund – their expertise and friendship mean everything to us. However, getting Pachamama fully ready for what lies ahead, including a reliable auxiliary engine for future emergencies, requires resources beyond what we currently have. We share this humbly, knowing that every contribution – whether financial support, expertise, or simply spreading our message – helps make our mission possible.

Making the Most of Winter
Rather than seeing this as a setback, we’re embracing this time to prepare for something extraordinary: “Wonders of the World Expedition: Inspiring Sustainable Futures.” This global journey will take us to each country’s most pristine natural wonder – the most beautiful mountain, the healthiest coral reef, places of pure natural beauty rather than tourist attractions.
Using primarily nature’s force and human power, we’ll demonstrate how precious our planet truly is while reconnecting people with nature through outdoor experiences.
Educational Bridge-Building
Our mission is to inspire millions of students while building bridges between schools and science through our onboard research projects. During Pachamama’s refit, we’ll embark on “Explore – Inspire – Act: Arctic to Sahara Educational Exchange” – visiting schools across all latitudes, learning from young people, and fostering connections between different climate zones. Imagine Norwegian Arctic students collaborating with peers in Algeria’s desert regions! – In the meantime, you are all welcome to visit and stay at the TOPtoTOP Arctic Base in Lyngseidet. Just get in touch with us.

Our Active Ambassadors
While we prepare, our children continue as passionate ambassadors: Noé advances the “Save the Arctic” campaign from Tromsø with sister vessel Naomi. Salina’s dive master training strengthens underwater conservation efforts. Noé’s mountain bike enthusiasm will introduce more people to Lyngen Alps’ natural beauty. Andri and Alegra’s enthusiasm for running and ski touring inspires youth toward sustainable sports. Even our youngest – Mia (2nd place) and Vital (1st place) in Skjervøy’s 20:1000 run – show that adventure and nature connection start early (Noé 2nd place).
Moving Forward Together
This unexpected pause has become an opportunity to prepare more thoughtfully for our most impactful expedition yet. Every challenge teaches us something valuable about resilience, preparation, and the kindness of communities who believe in our mission.
We’re grateful for every supporter who helps make these dreams possible, whether through direct assistance, sharing our story, or simply believing that inspiring young people to protect our planet matters.
