A piano story that resonated with +400’000 veiwers already
November 2025, Yamaha Music Europe released a short film featuring Dario and Sabine Schwörer, the founders of the TOPtoTOP Global Climate Expedition. The video tells the story of how a Yamaha Clavinova CSP-275PE became a symbol of connection, family, and hope in the midst of a global climate mission. What started as a four-minute window into their extraordinary life has grown into a viral moment, capturing the hearts of over +400,000 viewers in the first weeks already and sparking meaningful conversations about music, sustainability, and what truly matters in life. The video reveals the emotional and psychological anchors that keep this family grounded during their extraordinary journey.
The Story Behind the Piano
Dario Schwörer is a climatologist and certified mountain guide who witnessed the disappearance of his beloved Alpine glaciers in the 1990s. Instead of passively accepting this loss, he and his wife Sabine, a trained nurse, founded the TOPtoTOP Global Climate Expedition in 1999 with a bold mission: to connect all climate zones by crossing the seven seas and climbing the highest peaks on all seven continents. They inspired over 140,000 students worldwide with positive solutions from all corners of our planet.
Over the past 26 years, this family-led expedition has grown into a global movement for climate action and environmental education. Remarkably, all six children were born during the expedition: living aboard the sailboat “Pachamama” or in tents, with the ocean or mountains as their classrooms and the planet as their textbook.
A Message of Hope:
In a media landscape dominated by climate anxiety and doom, this video offers something different. It shows people acting decisively for change while maintaining joy, creativity, and deep family connection. It suggests that environmental responsibility and human flourishing are not mutually exclusive.
